Today I was supposed to do a lot of laying in bed, watching TV and cooking.
And I have done a little of all of those, but also a number of other things, or mainly one other thing.
Kinect.
Last week, Wednesday I think, the Xbox in my household carked it. It just wouldn’t turn on and apparently there was still a disc in it! This didn’t really mean a lot to me except that on Thursday night my husband insisted that he had to come late night shopping with me. The result was a new Xbox. But this time with kinect.
I don’t mind video games (and I don’t mean Lana Del Ray’s attempt at reinvention). I like viva piñata and we have LOTR Lego and now we have kinect. And I am awesome at it.
So this morning I went out as usual and had my favourite breakfast (hot chocolate and baklava) at my favourite place (Kingston and Co) with my favourite person (my Mum (this is a test to see if she actually reads my blog, but no pressure)). Then we bought a dryer and I went home and did half the cooking I had planned.
I had also wanted to make hot cross buns but that kind of fell by the wayside. Plus I figure that one dessert/cakey thing a week is probably enough.
Then it was to bed, having moved the TV in earlier it was a movie and lunch.
But what was supposed to be a rest of the day thing was cut short by the weather. It just wasn’t the kind of weather today to keep you in bed.
And that’s where the kinect comes in.
I found out that I am good at bowling, ping pong, long jump and hurdles. All virtual of course.
But it does mean I am getting some sort of exercise without actually have to leave my house.
Yay!
Coming up on my next blog: I don’t know why I add these teasers seeing as I don’t usually make good on them.

Yes I do read your blog and I can’t believe you are playing computer games!
Just checking
